Course Description
Clinicians have been utilizing airway clearance and lung expansion therapies throughout the years. But what is the actual reason and purpose why one therapy is chosen over the other? This program is designed to help clinicians gain a thorough understanding of positive airway pressure techniques designed and indicated for airway clearance and lung expansion therapies.
Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
- Review normal mucociliary transport
- Explain and identify the need for airway clearance and lung expansion therapies
- Describe the various airway clearance and lung expansion techniques
- Identify patient factors used for technique selection
