Smiths Medical's Medfusion® Syringe Pump. An alternative mode of drug delivery.

October 19, 2017

At Smiths Medical, we are passionate about improving and saving the lives of patients through high quality and innovative medical devices and services. If your facility is navigating the shortage of 50 mL and 100 mL mini IV bags, consider Smiths Medical’s Medfusion® Syringe Pump as an alternate mode of drug delivery. The Medfusion® Pump utilizes IV syringes for controlled infusions while minimizing the risk of free flow medication to your patients. Finally, Medfusion® Syringe Pumps offer early detection of occlusion and minimized risk of inappropriate drug mixing & precipitates due to their single channel design.

The Medfusion® pumps are available in both standard and wireless models:
•    Medfusion® 3500 Pump Model #3500-0600-01 (V6 Pump)
•    Medfusion® 4000 Wireless Pump Model #4000-0106-01 (V1.6 Pump)

The Medfusion® Pumps are designed to be used in conjunction with the PharmGuard® software application enabling creation of a custom drug library as further enhancement to patient safety.

Please contact your local Smiths Medical representative, or call Customer Service at 1-800-258-5361, for more information. Medfusion Syringe Pumps are also available through UHS, Freedom Medical, as well as through lease arrangement via U.S. Bank and Med One Capital.
