  • JehanZeb Noor

    Chief Executive Officer

    JehanZeb joined Smiths Medical in July 2019 as Chief Executive Officer, a £885M ($1.3B) division of Smiths Group, plc, that manufacturers specialty medical devices for the world’s healthcare markets. He also serves as a member of Smiths Group’s Executive Committee. JehanZeb has intimate understanding of the medical device industry including supply chain, operations, distribution, product development and regulatory approval processes. He also has a strong track record of effective leadership, delivering growth and enhanced performance.

    Before joining Smiths Medical, JehanZeb worked at Amcor Flexible, Inc. where he led the Healthcare North America business and Global Medical Sales, serving device companies as their sterile packaging provider. During his three-year tenure at Amcor he drove a significant improvement in margin and revenue growth, and led the integration of a major acquisition. Prior to that, JehanZeb was a Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he served for 9 years. He gained a deep understanding of business transformations and cultural change across sales, operations, product development, R&D and strategy.

    JehanZeb holds a BSc in Finance and a BSc and MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

  • Gary Barrett 

    Vice President, Global Regulatory, Compliance & Quality Systems

    Gary Barrett joined Smiths Medical in April 2018. In his role, Gary is responsible for leading the Global Regulatory, Compliance and Quality Systems teams.

    Gary brings with him more than 20 years of experience in the medical device industry. Prior to Smiths Medical, Gary served as the Senior Vice President of Quality and Regulatory Affairs at Angiodynamics where he was responsible for all aspects of quality and regulatory compliance. Gary also served as the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs at Merit Medical where he led global regulatory submissions and compliance.

    Gary attended the University of Liverpool for his undergraduate degree. He received his Master’s in Ecological Management, certificate in Analytical Chemistry and PhD in Biotechnology from Cranfield University in the UK. Gary holds publications and patents in biosensor technology as well as microarray technology.

  • Brett Landrum

    CTO and Senior Vice President, R&D

    Brett serves as Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of R&D. Brett and his team are dedicated to developing and delivering innovative products and solutions that improve the lives of patients and providers around the world.

    Brett joined Smiths Medical in 2015 as Director of Software Engineering leading the organization’s digital transformation efforts. Prior to joining Smiths Medical, Brett served as Director of Engineering for Medtronic leading the development and launch of Medtronic’s wireless remote patient ECG monitoring system. Brett has held a variety of additional leadership roles across the medical device, automotive, telecommunications and transportation industries. 

    He brings with him 20 years of experience, including an intimate knowledge of the product development lifecycle and a rich history of driving new product introductions. Brett has multiple U.S. and international patents.

    Brett holds a B.S. in Math and Information Systems from Indiana University Kokomo, an M.S. in Software Engineering from the University of St. Thomas and an M.B.A. from the University of St. Thomas.

  • John Kowalczyk

    Senior Vice President of Global Sales

    John joined Smiths Medical in January 2019. As Senior Vice President of Global Sales, John is responsible for leading the global Sales and Commercial Operations teams. 

    Prior to Smiths Medical, John served as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Electromed Inc. Before joining Electromed Inc. in 2016, John served as President of dorsaVi USA, where he led the company’s commercialization of operation and expansion into the U.S. market. John also spent more than 19 years at Medtronic, where he held positions of increasing responsibility and was recognized for excellence in performance, leadership and team development.

    John is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

  • Brenda McCormick

    Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President, Finance

    Brenda joined Smiths Medical in January 2018, where she is responsible for leading global finance, planning, accounting and shared services. Her background includes strategic planning, controllership, mergers and acquisitions and business operations.

    Prior to Smiths, Brenda served as the Vice President, Corporate Controller and Principal Accounting Officer at the Valspar Corporation, where she oversaw transformation of the global accounting, external reporting, enterprise reporting and shared services functions.  During her 11 years at Valspar, she held numerous global finance leadership roles, where she had a proven track record of driving continuous improvement and financial excellence across the organization. Earlier in her career, Brenda held financial management positions at Lawson Software, International Multifoods, The Pillsbury Company (Diageo) and Coca-Cola Enterprises.

    In addition, she serves on the Parks and Recreation Commission for the city of Edina, Minnesota, and participates in the Carlson School of Management mentorship program.

    Brenda holds a B.A. in Economics and Asian Studies from St. Olaf College and an MBA from the University of Minnesota.  In 2015, she was recognized as a Top Women in Finance honoree by the publication Finance and Commerce.

  • Chris Percival

    Senior Vice President of Global Operations

    Chris joined Smiths in 2017 as Group Head of Supply Chain, with the remit of developing Supply Chain functional capabilities across the Group. More recently, he has also led development and deployment of the Smiths Excellence System - Smiths’ enterprise-wide operating model designed to improve business performance through the implementation of recognized best practices.

    Prior to joining Smiths, Chris was Supply Chain Excellence Director for GKN’s Land Systems Division.  He previously held a number of technical Supply Chain Management roles in the aerospace and automotive industries, where he led the design and delivery of complex supply chain solutions in support of airline operations, manufacturing, aftermarket services and Formula 1 motor-racing.  He began his working life in the Royal Navy, where he enjoyed a varied first career as a Logistics Officer.

    Chris holds a Masters in Supply Chain Management from Cranfield University and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply.

  • Gretchen Randall

    General Counsel

    Gretchen Randall was appointed General Counsel for Smiths Medical in October 2018. In her role, Gretchen is responsible for leading the global Smiths Medical Legal function to deliver business objectives by providing strong, reliable legal and compliance advice and assistance.

    Since joining Smiths in 2013, Gretchen has held several roles of increasing responsibility at both Smiths Medical and Smiths Group. Most recently, she served as Associate General Counsel, Risk Management, as part of the Global Compliance team. Prior to joining Smiths, Gretchen held positions at Honeywell International Inc. and Minnesota-based law firm Lindquist & Vennum P.L.L.P.

    Gretchen holds a B.A. in Marketing and Economics from the University of St. Thomas and a Juris Doctorate from the William Mitchell College of Law.
