Kristy

Program Manager, Clinical Education

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota

Years of Service: Joined Smiths Medical in 2016

Describe a typical day in your position.

I was recently provided with the opportunity to develop a Clinical Education Program spanning Perioperative Medicine, with a focus on Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) (a multidisciplinary approach that has been shown to lead to a reduction in surgical complications, reduced hospital length of stay and improved patient outcomes). I am developing an educational program (including symposia at conferences, and clinical training videos, etc.) with ERAS experts, to be deployed globally in FY18, and expect that the scope of this program will grow with time.

What is your favorite thing about working at Smiths Medical?

I am excited to collaborate with experts around the world  to develop educational programs to support the global adoption of ERAS!

Are you involved in any professional organizations or community giving programs?

I am a co-leader for both of my daughters’ Girl Scout troops and I am also a member of the parent teacher organization at their school.
