I’m new here and haven’t previously taken any of your education programs. How do I begin?
Browse through our available education resources using the menu bar at the top of the screen.  You can search Product Training related to the proper use of Smiths Medical products and devices; Clinical Education, which includes an offering of continued education courses for nurses and respiratory therapists; or Educational Events such as upcoming or on-demand education webinars hosted by healthcare practitioner specialists.

I have already been taking training on Smiths Medical Education - Online Training Portal, can I complete it here?
If you completed an online course in our Online Training Portal within the past two years and provided an email address in your user profile, your login information and training completions have been migrated to Smiths Medical Academy so you can continue to log in, review the online courses as needed, and access your training completion certificate(s) seamlessly.  

Your email will be the same as it was in the previous system, and your username has now been set to your email address as well. To complete the registration process in the new system, click the link Forgot your password? on the login page.  You will be emailed a link to reset your password and then prompted to sign in and fill in your profile details to complete the registration process.  

Please Note: If you started an online training program in the previous system but did not complete it, your user and course information has not been migrated. You can create a new user account in Smiths Medical Academy and take the training here to complete it.

Can I get my previous training certificates?
If you completed an online course in our previous Online Training Portal and received a certificate in the past 2 years, and also had a valid email address associated with your profile, you will be able to generate a new certificate in Smiths Medical Academy.  

If the training was completed prior to two years ago, or you did not have an email address associated with your profile, you can use the Email icon at the top right of the screen to contact Smiths Medical Academy support to get assistance in obtaining historical training records.

Can I use my same login information and password as I did in the old system?

How do I retrieve my password?
Click Forgot your password? on the login page and fill in your email information.  If your user account was migrated you will be emailed a link to reset your password and then prompted to sign in and fill in your profile details to complete the registration process.  

If you do not receive a password reset email, it is possible your user account was not migrated.  You can register to create a  new account, or use the Email icon at the top right of the screen to contact Smiths Medical Academy support for assistance.

How do I access your course catalog to find training?
Use the menu options at the top of the page to search through our Product Training, Clinical Education, or Education Events.

I have a registration code from the previous Online Training Portal, how do I use that here?
The registration codes from the previous system are not required for registration in Smiths Medical Academy.  Use the menu options at the top of the page to search for Product Training, Clinical Education; and Education Events. Some education materials are readily available to view or download, while more comprehensive eLearning programs will require registration and login.  Just follow the prompts to register and log in where indicated.

In some instances your healthcare facility might request that we provide a Facility Code that helps automate required product training specific to your facility.  These codes will be different than the registration codes that were provided in the previous system.  Please work with your education department or implementation project lead to obtain the new Facility Code, where indicated.  A Facility Code is not required to register in the system unless your facility has requested it.  If your facility does require it, you may also add in at any time after registering by managing My Profile settings once you are logged in.

I am having trouble logging in to Smiths Medical Academy with my previous User ID.  How can I get assistance with troubleshooting?

I need to access my training records for online courses I completed prior to two years ago in the previous Smiths Medical Education – Online Training Portal.  How can I get that information?
