The research and evidence that supports best practice for lung expansion techniques and improves patient outcomes will be discussed. Participants will be provided with the knowledge needed to select the appropriate lung expansion therapy.

Intermittent Positive Airway Pressure: Adjuncts to Current Therapies

This ninety (90) minute, 1.5 contact hour instructor – led course is designed to provide participants with the empirical evidence and research, to assess current lung expansion and bronchial hygiene therapies. This course will compare and contrast current available therapies. Participants will be provided with the information they need to select the appropriate adjuncts to current therapies, to improve patient outcomes.

Capnography: Pieces of the Puzzle

This one contact hour instructor led course is designed to provide information on Capnography, an integral tool to assist the clinician with in-depth patient assessment. Early intervention is critical to avert respiratory depression and improve the quality of care and ultimately patient outcomes. Capnography instantaneously monitors breath to breath carbon dioxide concentration and provides a picture of metabolic, circulatory, and ventilatory status.

This program will explore how capnography can assist the clinician in identifying undiagnosed clinical conditions that predispose patients to respiratory complications along with applications for transport and resuscitation guidelines. Optimal respiratory care doesn't have to be a puzzle any longer!!
Successful completion of this activity awards 1 contact hour of Continuing Nursing Education credit or 1 contact hour of Respiratory CRCE credit.
