The anatomical shape of the tube shaft along with the caudal angle of the 15 mm connector provide comfort and security for patients that require airway attachments.
Portex® pediatric tracheostomy tubes are available either with or without a 15 mm connector.
The distal shaft of these tubes provides between 3.0 mm and 6.0 mm of extra vertical length for patients that require a longer tube.
