Valved Peel-Away Sheath Introducer

Smiths Medical now offers a valved peel-away sheath introducer. The addition of the valved introducers provides enhanced safety by helping to reduce the risk of air embolisms and unnecessary blood loss during intravascular catheter insertion for a port implantation.

Product Features

• Specially designed valve membrane to reduce risk of blood loss and air embolisms during catheter insertion
• Low insertion force valve membrane allows for smooth insertion and removal of port catheters
• Extruded scoreline peel-away sheath allows for clean, even peeling during removal from vein
• Ergonomically designed hub for easy splitting before sheath removal
• French size printed on handle and indicated by color-coded introducer cap for easy identification of introducer size and to ensure dilator and sheath sizes are identical
• Positive locking dilator connector to confirm dilator is firmly attached to the sheath
